Sousse is a wonderful city in Tunisia. Well known among
Tunisians as "the place to go", the beaches are pristine, the shopping is
great, and the restaurants are amazing! Tunisia has four seasons, full of
wonderful experiences. there is so much to do and see,it makes Sousse a year
round destination. |

How do the locals feel about foreigners?
Tourism is the bread and butter of the Tunisian peopole, foreigners, as
long as respectful to the culture, are very welcome.
Pros of living in Sousse:
It's very cheap to live a great life in Tunisia.
The people are very friendly.
There is a lot to do and see all year long.

learn a bit about the culture and religion before you go, as well as a few
words of the language, Arabic or french.

Foreigners can be in the country four or six (?) months without a visa. It is always best to register yourself with your country's Embassy. |

Water: Is the regular water safe to drink?
Yes, but most use bottled water. It costs 3 dinars per 6 litres (bottles).

Both
Gas: Costs 100 dinars every 3 months for high usage.
Electricity: Costs 100 dinars every 3 months based on usage(high). |

All kinds of medical care are available. It cost 10-35 dinars a visit to your local doctor and the quality is very good. It is easy to purchase all of the medicines that you need. There are no major health concerns specific to Tunisia that I am aware of. |

Preschool to university available. Very good schools of all levels. Travel to school is by car, walking or by bus. |

Cars and Drivers Licenses: It is very easy to own a car. It is not too hard to drive a car, but driving here takes some getting used to. I am not sure how to get a local licence here.
Public Transportation: All kinds are available and yes, it is safe. The cost depends on where you travel, but it is never more than 5 Dinars. |

It is very easy to find the things you need. I would recommend however that you bring your favourite lotions, and ship baby items as well, if you think you might need them. |

All types of sports are played - but soccer is the big one. There are sports clubs to join and lots of entertainment options available. |
