A social organisation for women living in Namibia, mainly in the capital of Windhoek. It is a non-profit, non-religious, apolitical association, which aims to support and welcome all new arrivals to Namibia and to help various charitable groups. Women of all nationalities are eligible to join the Association, including, of course, our host country nationals!

The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is truly international and Africa's largest community-based drama school for young people from 5-18 years of age and adults. Students gain greater confidence and self-esteem while also developing verbal and acting abilities. And of course, classes are great fun, too!

Enjoy yourself – the country is a wonderfully interesting country, with great culture and traditions.

Look for great artesanias – there are many.

Learn to live with the traffic – it is part of life and do not stress about it.
4.
Try to live near your/your partner's office – to save you many hours in the car.
5.
Look for a maid or nanny as soon as you get off the plane.
