You can find just about anything here, so don't stress out too much, worrying about what to bring.

Buy a split (air conditioning system) for your house/apartment as soon as you arrive if coming in the hottest time of year (June–September).
   
3.
Get to know the stores where you can actually find what you're looking for: Le Parcours, Score Sahm, and Orca.
   
4.
Get involved in clubs and classes via the Dakar Women's Group.
   
5. Dakar is a great place to live and to raise children. Enjoy your time here in Dakar!
