Be aware that things move very slowly here.

As far as getting things done: whether it is getting your household items, or repair work at your house...it is going to take a while!
   
3.
Plan ahead, especially if you have kids.
   
4.
Learn at least the basics of the local language...it does help!
   
5. Be patient!
