Hello Everyone! This month, we talk to Stacie Nevadomski Berdan – a shining example of how successful you can be if you take the plunge and accept a work assignment abroad. We also feature Stacie’s book (co-authored by Perry Yeatman), Get Ahead By Going Abroad, because it really is a great book if you want to do as the title suggests. It is full of real-life examples, quotes and feedback from many women abroad.

Dhyan Summers MA, a US-Licensed Psychotherapist, has kindly contributed an article on Women in Transition – talking about the four ‘S’s of transition coping. Rebecca Grappo M.Ed, an International Education Specialist has generously contributed an article targeting parents of Special Needs Children, entitled What To Know Before You Go.

Robin Pascoe gives us the low-down on what went on last month at the Families In Global Transition (FIGT) Conference in Houston and our featured Expat Confession is about how to handle a shock decision such as a job restructure – especially when you have only recently expatriated.

Read and enjoy!

It's Monday night. I find myself sitting in a big table in Cazbar, drinking glasses of good red wine, listening to the good music (although there was one time I raised my eyebrows when they played Wham!'s 'Wake Me Up Before You Go Go' - and was surprised that nobody protested, not even Jasper, the cute bar manager) ...
