Message from Andrea
Hi Everyone! Thanks for joining us this month. We hope that you like our new-look website? Sincere thanks for the new design go to our regular web designer, Inés Castro of Blu Concept and to Beth Nori, who has been an Expat Women Mentor for us in the UK.  Beth wrote to us like a guardian angel one night and miraculously translated our ideas for our new top banner into reality within two days.  If you ever need a web designer, I highly recommend Beth.

Speaking of Mentors, we regret that we are no longer running our Mentor program in its old format. We are looking around for more creative, user-generated ways to offer networking for you online. We would like to genuinely thank every Expat Women Mentor who volunteered their time and wisdom on our site. You are all wonderfully generous women and you really did make a difference.

Have you seen our article about executive Expat Women in Asia published in the ERC’s Mobility Magazine in February?  If not, please see our Special Report below.  Thanks go to the seven women interviewed: Nancy; Christa; Julianne; Basia; Sarah; Lesley and Cisca.

Finally, please welcome our new Bronze Sponsor, Clements International. Clements is a leading provider of trusted and reliable insurance services for expatriates, covering more than 170 countries. If you need automobile, personal, property, life, business, school and/or any other form of insurance, please support this great company that supports us. Thank you.

Happy International Women’s Day on March 8!

Andrea

Infidelity Online
My husband has a new high-powered position in Oman and has been there without me for three months. Now I discover that during my absence he is conducting online affairs with women.
I accidentally discovered this and was deeply horrified to read the intimate details they shared with each other. He justifies his actions by saying…

On March 8, women around the world will be celebrating International Women’s Day – both a day to applaud the many economic, social and political advances of women, and a day to remember our sisters who still live in oppression. Global Expat Survey

Please help our Gold Sponsor, HSBC Offshore, in their very ambitious project to survey 2,000+ expats across four continents. Among many other things, the survey hopes to ascertain the impact of new technology on the lives of expats, plus find out how the lives of expat children differ from the lives of the friends they leave behind.

Welcome to the Dark Side: Depression in Cambodia
Hi. My name is Bronwyn, and, like up to 15 percent of the population, I suffer from depression. Unfortunately for me, although there is a group for recovering alcoholics in Cambodia, and even a group for recovering drug addicts, there is no 12-Step Sad Sacks Anonymous. Expats and Cambodians alike share dark days like I do, but few people talk about it…
